Review of Backwards to Oregon

March 28, 2010

Just a short update to let you know that Rainbow Reviews reviewed Backwards to Oregon and gave it five stars.

It’s always interesting to see whether readers and reviewers see Luke more as a man or a woman. Maybe it’s because I discovered more of her layers in the sequel, Hidden Truths, but I definitely see her as a woman. How about you?

  1. At this point, I still have not got the book back from my “friend”!!!!! But count on me to answer this question when I’ve read it.

    • Hi C.P.,

then I hope that means that your friend is enjoying the novel 🙂

  2. Congratulations on the review. And yes, since you’ve written the sequel, it is very interesting to see how readers saw Luke “back in the day” with only what you’ve provided then. It’ll be interesting to hear readers’ reactions to Luke in the newer story, to see their appreciation for her deepen or change, and how.

  3. I see Luke as a woman, a butch woman – but then… I had the pleasure of test reading the sequel 🙂

  4. Definitely a woman by her sensitivity and caring. But then I may be biased since I’m a woman. 🙂
